HOLI Festival of Colors @ University of Calgary - Green Space #7
Mar 24 @ 11:00 am – 2:00 pm

Holi is a spring festival, also known as the festival of colours. It is an ancient Hindu religious festival which has become popular with non-Hindus in many parts of South Asia, as well as people of other communities outside Asia. Like many Indian festivals, Holi is a celebration of the victory of good over evil. The Festival has been the inspiration of events such as ‘Colour Me Rad.’

Along with the celebration with colours, we will be playing some Indian, Holi-based music to celebrate the festival. All colour will be provided by the Indian Students’ Association and is non-toxic, biodegradable and easy to clean.

When: March 24, 2018 11 AM – 2 PM
Where: Green Space 7 – next to LRT station

  • All colour will be provided by the ISA (Colour will be sold to make up for the expenses)
  • No water balloons or water guns are allowed on campus. We also feel like it’d be better to save water, so it’ll be a water-free event! :)
  • There is a ZERO ALCOHOL TOLERANCE POLICY, if you are caught drinking, or pre-drunk, ISA holds the right to remove you from the event. While we all want to enjoy and have fun, we also want to make sure the event is up standards of the U of C as well as appropriate for the culture and religion.

Can’t wait to see you all there!! :D
