Calgary Arabia – Every Thursday at 10pm on 106.7 Red FM
Calgary Arabia is a weekly, 2-hour, live show that discusses local Canadian & Albertan social, economic & political affairs. It showcases Arab art & cultural heritage, and airs live interviews with prominent figures from diverse walks of life in Calgary. The show’s segments are coupled, of course, with carefully selected, neat Arabic music.
It’s fun, yet informative.
Noha listens to the radio and to music 24/7 and loves to sing! Noha takes playtime seriously, she is extremely competitive and likes to play tennis, squash, badminton, ping pong … basically anything with a racquet!
Noha expresses herself through writing poems in Arabic and English. Salah Jahin’s poems are one of Noha’s sources of inspiration as well as Beram Al Tonsy’s. On the other hand, when writing in English, Noha is inspired by 50s Hollywood, with all of its beauty and melancholy, as well as vintage-oriented poems like ones written by Lana Del Rey.
Noha is a current student at the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary and works there too. She majors in Marketing, works in the marketing department in the Dean’s office and is the VP of Marketing at the Alliances in Marketing (AIM) club in Haskayne. Noha values being in university so much and keeps herself busy with various co-curricular activities; she was an Orientation Leader twice and an International Student Mentor once.
