Hamara Pakistan with Sajjad Mirza
RED FM recently sat down with Sajjad Mirza, host of “Hamara Pakistan”.
Can you tell us what Hamara Pakistan is all about?
Hamara Pakistan is a show which consists of Pakistani music, poetry, interviews, and Pakistani news while keeping a distinct local feeling.
Can you tell us a little about your professional background?
In the past, I have worked as a program manager, program producer and RJ/announcer at numerous stations including Radio Humsafar in Montreal, Radio Apni Awaz in Bradford, UK, City FM.89 in Pakistan, Radio Pakistan FM.101, FEBA World Radio in Worthing, UK (PCRM, Pakistan) and Radio Pakistan in Faisalabad. (PBC).
I also had the distinct pleasure of being named “Best Announcer” at Radio Pakistan.
What else can you tell us about yourself?
Before moving to Canada, I obtained a M.Sc in Psychology from the University of Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan, the I also attended the Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada. I am currently a Registered Provisional Psychologist.
Aside from English, I also speak Urdu, Punjabi and other Pakistani regional languages. You can also catch me in the evening debate show called “The Great Debate” on Mondays and Tuesdays.
