The Calgary Stampede is off to a record-setting pace in 2025, with new attendance figures showing more visitors have taken in the festivities than in any previous year to date.

According to data released Wednesday, 193,033 people passed through the gates on Tuesday, July 8 — designated as TC Energy Community Day. That single-day turnout pushed total attendance to 812,722 just five days into the 10-day event.

By comparison, Community Day in 2024 saw 141,053 attendees, with total attendance at the same point sitting at 770,703.

The current record for total attendance was set in 2023, when 1,477,953 people visited Stampede Park. With this year’s numbers trending higher, organizers believe 2025 could surpass that milestone.

Beyond the crowds, the Calgary Stampede continues to deliver significant economic benefits. The organization estimates the event contributes approximately $282 million annually to Alberta’s economy.
