The Alberta government says it has not yet received an interim report in the ongoing investigation into allegations of corruption involving provincial health contracts—but expects it to be completed in the coming days.

Former Manitoba judge Raymond Wyant, who is leading the investigation, was due to submit the interim report today. However, the province says Wyant still has interviews to complete before finalizing the document.

Officials also confirmed the interim report will not be made public.

Originally expected in May, the interim report was delayed due to the volume of documents and additional interviews Wyant sought to conduct. The final report is still scheduled to be submitted by October 15.

The investigation stems from a wrongful dismissal lawsuit filed by the former CEO of Alberta Health Services. In her suit, she alleges that senior government officials interfered in awarding inflated health contracts to private companies during her tenure.

None of the claims have been proven in court, and Premier Danielle Smith’s government has denied any wrongdoing.
