Iran continues to launch strikes against Israel and U.S. assets in the Gulf amid intensifying retaliatory attacks from Israel and the United States, as the death toll rises across the region.
Qatar reported that its air force “successfully shot down” two Iranian Su-24 fighter jets, along with seven ballistic missiles and five drones launched from Iran.
In Iran, the joint U.S.-Israeli strikes have claimed at least 555 lives. Iranian security chief Ali Larijani denied U.S. media reports suggesting he had initiated a renewed push to resume nuclear talks with Washington.
In Kuwait, the Defence Ministry confirmed that “several” U.S. warplanes crashed, with all crew members surviving. The U.S. military later stated the jets were mistakenly shot down by Kuwaiti air defenses.
Meanwhile, in Lebanon, at least 31 people have died in Israeli strikes following a barrage of rockets fired by Hezbollah at northern Israel. Lebanon’s prime minister announced a ban on Hezbollah’s military activities in response.
The rapidly escalating conflict has raised concerns of a broader regional war, with civilian casualties mounting on multiple fronts.
