Calgary man charged following Dover Stabbing incident

Calgary police have charged a local man after an assault with a weapon in the southeast community of Dover earlier this week. 

On the evening of March 23, 2026, at around 10 p.m., officers responded to reports of a stabbing near the 100 block of Dovertree Place S.E. The victim was transported to hospital in life-threatening condition. 

Authorities quickly identified the suspect and located him at a nearby residence. He was arrested without further incident. 

Dakota Cody Ermine, 35, of Calgary, faces charges of aggravated assault and two counts of failure to comply. 

Ermine is scheduled to appear in court on March 25, 2026.
