Rajan Sawhney, Alberta’s minister of Indigenous relations, and Shane Getson, parliamentary secretary for economic corridor development and chair of the Alberta India Advisory Committee, completed a three-week visit to India, where they held a series of meetings with foreign diplomats.
The trip included meetings with government officials, private-sector leaders, and potential investors across eight cities.
A key highlight of the visit was Sawhney’s participation in India Energy Week 2026, an international forum that brought together global energy leaders in Goa from Jan. 27 to 30.
