The Alberta government is set to unveil the findings and recommendations of a panel formed to examine increasing complexities in the province’s classrooms.
Premier Danielle Smith and Education Minister Demetrios Nicolaides will release the final report of the 25-member Aggression and Complexity in Schools Action Team on Friday at 12:30 p.m. The panel, created this summer, was tasked with addressing teachers’ concerns around safety, learning outcomes, and overall student well-being.
The province has already begun taking action. On Nov. 7, officials announced the formation of a new Class Size and Complexity Cabinet Committee, led by Smith and supported by several ministers and education experts. The committee will review the task force’s report and move forward on its recommendations.
