A woman from Alberta is facing multiple charges after Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) officers discovered various drugs in her luggage at Calgary International Airport.

According to the RCMP, the drugs were uncovered on August 7 during a routine inspection of outbound baggage. CBSA officers flagged a suitcase due to “abnormalities” and, upon further inspection, found 4.5 kilograms of cannabis inside.

The traveler was taken into custody, and officers proceeded to search her carry-on bag. There, they allegedly found 5.2 grams of fentanyl, 2.1 grams of cocaine, and drug-related paraphernalia.

Amy Diane Haydu, 46, of Stavely, has been charged with drug possession and trafficking. She is scheduled to appear in a Calgary courtroom in September.
