A Calgary man recently charged with voyeurism and child pornography offences has previously been assessed as a moderate-to-average risk for sexual reoffending, according to parole board documents obtained by CTV News.
Jeffrey Robert Williamson, 51, was arrested on July 1 following the execution of a search warrant at a residence in the 300 block of Marquis Lane S.E. He now faces charges of voyeurism, possession of child pornography, and accessing child pornography.
Williamson was previously convicted of similar offences in 2018 and served a two-year prison sentence. He was released on day parole in September 2019.
In its past decision, the Parole Board of Canada determined he posed a moderate or average risk for sexual reoffending and a low to moderate risk for reoffending in general. While the Correctional Service of Canada recommended denying both day and full parole at the time, his case management team supported his bid for day parole.
The current investigation is ongoing.
