Calgary police have arrested a man wanted on 25 outstanding warrants after he attempted to flee his apartment by climbing down balconies. The months-long investigation began in the summer of 2025 when the 30-year-old suspect, Brandon Lane Tallman, failed to comply with release conditions and missed court dates for prior charges, including drug trafficking and firearms offences.
Police located Tallman breaching his release conditions in February 2026 and attempted to take him into custody at his home on the 300 block of 3 Street SE. During the arrest attempt, he tried to escape by scaling the building’s balconies, but officers apprehended him safely.
Tallman now faces six additional charges, including resisting arrest and multiple counts of failing to comply with a release order. The original 25 charges, dating back to 2023, include possession of proceeds of crime, release violations, and firearm offences. A folding combat knife was also found in his vehicle. He is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.
