A collision involving an e-bike and a vehicle shut down a section of 16 Avenue NW in Calgary on Wednesday afternoon, leaving one person injured.
Emergency crews responded to the scene near Banff Trail, in the westbound lanes of 16 Avenue NW, at approximately 2:05 p.m. following reports of a crash.
Police confirmed that the incident involved an electric bicycle and a grey SUV. Photos from the scene showed the damaged bike lying in the middle of the intersection.
The e-bike rider was transported to hospital in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.
As police conducted their investigation, 16 Avenue NW was closed in both directions between University Drive NW and 19 Street NW. The road reopened just after 4 p.m.
