Gas prices fell back below $1 a litre at several Calgary stations on Sunday, giving drivers a brief break at the pumps.
The lowest price was spotted at the Costco on Buffalo Run Blvd., where gas was selling for 96.9 cents per litre, according to GasBuddy. Several other stations were also offering sub-$1 prices, including Tempo locations on 26 Avenue S.W. and Bow Trail, the Tsuut’ina Gas Stop on Chula Boulevard, the 7-Eleven on 24th Street S.W., and the Centex on Douglaswoods Drive S.E.
The last time Calgary drivers saw gas prices dip below the $1 mark was during Black Friday weekend at the end of November. However, that relief was short-lived, as prices climbed sharply in the week that followed.
