A Lethbridge man is facing multiple charges related to child sexual exploitation after police allege he used artificial intelligence to create explicit images involving minors.

The Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams (ALERT) Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) unit has charged 38-year-old Justin Tillery with several offences, including making, distributing, possessing, and accessing child pornography.

According to investigators, Tillery — who served as a junior girls football coach with the Lethbridge Rams and the Football Alberta U18 women’s teams — allegedly used AI technology to alter and sexualize images of underage girls.

Police say the investigation remains ongoing.
