A man has died after being struck by a large truck in the loading bay of a commercial property in southeast Calgary on Thursday afternoon.
Emergency crews were called to the scene on Hastings Crescent SE, near 43 Avenue SE, around 12:30 p.m. They found a man in his 60s suffering from critical injuries after being hit by a truck. He was transported to Foothills Medical Centre, where he later died from his injuries.
Calgary police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident, alongside Alberta Occupational Health and Safety, as the crash occurred on private commercial property.
No road closures were required, and officials say the investigation remains ongoing.
