Calgary police have launched an investigation following the discovery of a woman’s body in Lower Mount Royal on Wednesday evening.
Officers were called to a residence in the 1700 block of 9A Street S.W. at around 7:15 p.m., where they located a deceased woman inside the home.
One individual at the scene was detained for questioning.
At this stage, police say the investigation is in its early phases and have not released further details. However, officials confirmed there is no threat to public safety.
An autopsy is scheduled for Friday to help determine the cause of death.
