Calgary, Alberta _Calgary police are searching for suspects following a targeted stabbing attack that left three people injured at the Calgary Stampede on Tuesday night.
Officers were called to the Midway area around 11:05 p.m. after reports of a stabbing near the Euroslide ride. A man was found at the scene with life-threatening injuries and was rushed to hospital, where he remains in stable condition.
Shortly after, police responded to two more calls involving people in medical distress. A youth was located near 17 Avenue and Macleod Trail S.E., and another man was found near Erlton Street and 27 Avenue S.W. Investigators later confirmed that both were victims of the same Midway attack. They were transported to hospital in serious but stable condition.
No arrests have been made at this time.
Police believe the attack was targeted and are appealing to the public for information. Investigators say there were numerous witnesses and that some may have captured the incident on their phones.
Anyone with information or video footage is urged to come forward.
