Canadian entertainment legend William Shatner is heading back to the Calgary Expo.
The 94-year-old actor, best known for portraying Captain James T. Kirk in the original Star Trek television series and several feature films, was confirmed Thursday as one of this year’s special guests.
Shatner last attended the event in 2022, and organizers say they’re thrilled to have him back. Fans will have the chance to attend Q&A sessions and meet the pop culture icon for autographs and photo opportunities on Friday and Saturday.
He won’t be the only familiar face from the sci-fi universe. Joining him at the Expo will be fellow Star Trek: The Next Generation stars Gates McFadden and Brent Spiner.
Beyond his work in film and television, Shatner also has ties to the city, having served as the Calgary Stampede Parade Marshal in 2014.
