By 2016, Harnarayan Singh had became a household name in the Canadian hockey world. He is the voice behind Punjabi Hockey Night in Canada. He was the first person to call the play-by-play of NHL games in Punjabi, and went ahead to became the first Sikh to take part in the English-language NHL broadcast. Harnarayan has also been contributing on several occasions to RED FM Calgary. He has written about his journey, from a small-town boy to becoming the first Sikh to be a part of NHL broadcasts, in his new memoir called One Game at a Time: My Journey from Small-Town Alberta to Hockey’s Biggest Stage. Harjinder Thind chats with Harnarayan Singh about his book, his journey, and the challenges he had to overcome.
